SpacePointe becomes an Elavon Merchant Services Provider in Canada
Registration with Elavon Canada lets SpacePointe board Canadian merchants directly onto PointePay, with Interac debit, credit and contactless acceptance settled in Canadian dollars.
MISSISSAUGA, Ontario, October 15, 2026. SpacePointe Inc today announced that it has been registered as a Merchant Services Provider (MSP) with Elavon Canada, a subsidiary of U.S. Bank. The registration allows SpacePointe to sign, underwrite and support Canadian merchant accounts directly on its PointePay platform, rather than through a third-party sales organization.
Canadian merchants on PointePay can now accept Interac debit, Visa, Mastercard, American Express and contactless payments through a single integrated platform, with funds settled in Canadian dollars and statements, support and the application process available in English and Canadian French. Onboarding is handled from SpacePointe’s Mississauga office.
Canada is a market of independent merchants: neighbourhood grocers, convenience stores, ethnic supermarkets and family-run restaurants that rely on a small number of large acquirers and often run separate systems for point of sale and payments. SpacePointe sees an opportunity to give these merchants one platform for selling, getting paid and running the business, priced openly and supported locally.

The registration complements SpacePointe’s existing processing relationships in Canada and its white-label programs, which continue unchanged. Canadian ISOs, ISVs and distributors can offer PointePay under their own brand or refer merchants to SpacePointe directly.
